Study of preparing Low-threshold Voltage and high-CR PDLC Films
Abstract：PDLC films are prepared by means of polymeriztion induced phase separation (PIPS), butyl methacrylate are mixed together with photosensitive prepolymer and nematic liquid crystal in certain ratio to reduce the anchoring energy of the surface between polymer and LC droplets ,and progress the U-T characteristics as well. Study the influence of different butyl methacrylate ratio on PDLC films. Optimize the environment factors to prepare PDLC films with the best quality, low threshold-voltage and high CR(contrast ratio).It is demonstrated in this paper that the addition of butyl methacrylate do good to reduce the driving voltage. This paper also studied the influence of drving frequency on E-O characteristics of PDLC films.
